game burning pro, help pls
i have a game image which is in nrg format, i check it by nero, it is data/data. i burned into cd-r, and it doesn't work, then i thought, maybe it is not a selfbooting disk, since i have checked the other games, which can be played well, are audio/data format. i dun know what should i do now. pls help. thanks first

Here's an idea....
Yeah, there are some games that do require a boot disc. Just get utopia boot cd. You can obtain that at http://homebrew.dcemulation.com. That will boot ANY game that isn't based on Windows CE. IF you wanna boot a non-selfboot game based on Windows CE, your best bet would be to use gameshark or action replay. They will boot ANYTHING! If the game doesn't boot with either, then the problem is with the game. For that you need the help of someone who has already copied games. If it does boot, you can search the internet for Echelon's Selfboot tutorial; that'll lead you through selfbooting your game. Hope this helps.

You may just have burned the data/data selfboot wrong, or your Dreamcast doesn't support it.
I've heard from a few people that apparently there are Dreamcasts in existence that play audio/data selfboots fine but refuse to boot data/data selfboots - when formerly only the opposite was thought to be true!! |
