SFD Downsampling

is anyone (other than me) having problems downsampling sfd files? i have the tools needed. i convert the sfd file to 1 video file (*.m1v) and 1 audio file (*.adx). when i *TRY* to open the *.m1v file in DC Movie Creator, i get an error... i also ttried making the video file a *.mpg file, no difference. please offer any help you can guys...

p.s. the dc movie creator's open-default extension is *.avi. it does not even have an option to open *.m1v or *.mpg files. is the correct/like this on everyones?
