ePSXe config question

I'm trying to get ePSXe to work well on my system. I'm running a Pentium III 700, and I have an Nvidea GForce II graphics card. Not sure about my sound card, also running WinXP.

Which plugins should I get for optimal configuration? So far if I turn the sound off completely, the game will run faster than normal, but if I have sound on, the games run very slow and skip all over the place. I'm playing from .bin, not disc -

any recomendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
