Nec Nd-2100a 8x Dvd+r/rw

hi,

i have a few questions about my NEC ND-2100A 8X DVD+R/RW which i recieved with my dell computer.

i have been told that it is the same as the 2500 but with the dvd-r disabled. is there any way to make it write dvd-? would this involve flashing? is there any (very) simple tutorials on this?

also i have searched for it on the nec website but cannot find it. is there any firmware or software for this to make it better. i can find no record of the writer, are there any guides anyware?

hi,

i found this site http://tdb.rpc1.org/#ND2100A which looks good. but i don't know what to do with the downloads. i don't want to damage my dvd writer.

anybody help?
