weird 4 second track (really weird)
I've followed all the steps in macpac 4 to make backups of copied DC games... and I've found some problems when I try to burn some self-boot games... the thing is that when I burn the first session (the audio track) , it expands 2 sectors and the whole CDR is useless ... I've tried to reduce it manually and then burn, but it continues expanding ... no matter how many sector you reduce, I always get the 4 seconds ... and don't know why... I think there's a copy protection in the audio track...
theres another strange thing... I've a copy of Rogue Spear , and the cd has two sessions, the first one has several audio tracks ... well , when I copy it , the same old history, the data session is moved two sectors , the cd is useless ... but I tried putting all the audio tracks in an audio image, and the CD WORKED!!! but as you might guessed, the game has no music ... because I made a single track of the tracks in the first session... then I tried to make an audio image of the first track of single audio track-selfboot game (like Daytona Usa 2001) and I only get useless CD-R ... any help is appreciated...thanks [email protected] |

Hi,
I think it is problem with your CD-R because not all the writers can burn track lower than 300 sector size. Yes, you right this is a copy protection, You must get another writer eg. Plextor/Yamaha... or ask other expert... |

You can burn 302sector at the first audio session,if u patch the bootbin & ip.bin file lba using echelon sb method.
Try use Virtual pc to run cdmage to extract the cdi image and follow echelon sb method ,u'll hv no problem. |
