What do you think about hrb2k's Lba 45000 theory? I was reading somewhere on the forum about you helping someone with Lba 45000 and hex editing 1ST_READ.BIN. Do you think that this game needs that as-well?

-open bin2boot, type the name of the .iso and let bin2boot do its thing.
-burn the cdi or use cdi2nero to burn with nero
-try it in you dc.

*downside to bin2boot is you cannot copy files from the cd to your pc hard drive.

Try again with out ipins

another question on Data/Data discs.

I want to dummy the first session with 000dummy.dat instead of the audio.raw track.

When i insert the disc into a cd player of course i will here no sound but those scratchy sounds.

Is there a way to build a disc that plays no sound when it gets inserted into a cd player, but runs on dc ?

Is the format really important? i tried CDROM with nero and 2 sessions but this did not work.

???
why use a file dummy in your 1st session?
if you want to have an lba45000 this is a dummy, a track dummy.
making an lba of 45000 is making a track dummy.
in the second session you can make a file dummy.

if you want to hear "nothing" on a cd player you have to create
a real "silence" audio track.
browse the web, i know there is white noise, purple noice,
why not silence!?

but why not taking any popular sound?
or any old, something from mozart, cause thereīs no copyright
on it (older than 80 years here in germany)

the files createt by newfile and similar programs arenīt
recogniced as wav files through wincdr.

why not make a popular song fit to 36000 sectors
and use this as first session.

the format is relevant, your cd player reads only audio tracks!

and seach the forum for
"45000 custom audio track" without quotes

My question is, why not just trade that Dec. 2000 Dreamcast in for an older model?

Hey Terminator :-) its not because of the specific 45000 LBA Problem.

The purpose is to ship game data towards the middle of the disc in order to decrease loading times.

and why not use a dummy in the first session instead of burning a dummy onto the game session?

what i want to say ismaybe you know all this)
use one or more audio tracks to come over the
45000 lba to make all dc compatible discs.
use a popular song to hear music in your cd-player
or try to generate silence to hear nothing.
please report if you have a silence audio track
or know how to create one easily.

in the second session you can use a file dummy.

i donīt know it better but i think a silence
audio track has contains only $00 or $FF.

i think i try this out.

iīve just veryfied all the stuff.

audio.raw provideded with echelons tut only contains $00
files created with newfile contains only $00

i think this should be interpreted as silence

the 38411 bytes long track once aviable on
goto.selfboot.com contains everything, but no
silence. maybe thats real music, maybe thatīs noise .
no doubt.

u can use a dummy in the first session. just make sure you use the -msinfo in cdrecord to get your new LBA. you then have to binhack, mkisofs, ipins afterwards.

i still prefer burning the audio.raw, and then putting a dummy in the 2nd session.
