Firmware?
I have read on sites about updating firmware. I have read that it can damage your drive, although this is probably just the companies ways of covering themselves. Could anyone please advise?
P.S. Can anyone tell me what px engine updates are and what they do? Thanks |

well if u use hacked fimrware u can kill a burner and it also voids the warrenty of the drive but u can use the firmware on the sites that ur burner came from and its save to upgrade.

do you recommend it. Is it always a better version, or do they sometimes make it worse?
I don't know exactly what they do? |

Upgrading the firmware of a drive usually fixes bugs within the software, matches more media or gives you new functionality. In most cases it is worth doing. Like EvoEvo said stick to the manufacturers own firmware and not the hacked ones.
