Pioneer 104 and 105...........
anyone heard of 2 dvd burners go down within 5 minutes of each other?.......well mine did!!!, 2 burners ceased to read and write anything i put in them!!...........heres the low down,........i was happily burning some stuff on the 105 and that finished great, then i went to the next machine with the 104 in it and finished that burn...all was good........went back to the machine with the 105 in it , tryed to read a dvd disc then nothing, i got the 3 warning flashes on the front of the burner indicating there was a problem.........ok thats cool ill fix it l8r i said, went back to the burner in the 104 machine and got the same......wont read dvd......i tryed a cdr in both of them......nope, wont read!!!.....tryed to burn a cdr in both.......(they wont initialize).....done the same with dvd media!!!!
Ok, so i thought it may be a firmware problem with both of the drives, so i flashed the 2 drives with the correct programmes, all went 100% ok, no problems in the flashing process....................still the same problems prevailed?.........my next step was to format both machines and fdisc them, thinking it may be an OS problem (XP pro currently).........and this didn't solve the issue, they are still not reading and writing anything!!!!!! is this just bad luck on 2 dvd-r burners or what?......
