Recordnow max problem

I have a problem with recordnow max. When I have my dvd-rom plugged in it detects that and my pioneer dvr-A05 as a dvd-rom, hence i cannot burn using it. When I unplug the dvd-rom it works just fine. Nero works fine as does dvd decrypter but I prefer to use Recordnow Max. It used to work fine before I formatted my system. Tried formatting a few times and still the same problem. I have the latest adaptec aspi drivers installed too. Any ideas?

Tried the one on the stomp website and the one on the sonic website, it didn't make a difference.

Did you change the driver on just the ide channel your dvd burner is on? Or did you change the driver on all IDE channels? What about the IDE controller??

Thanks.
