FarCry - Protection...

Not sure if this is allowed, since it's not out yet, but was wondering if there's been word on which protection is used for the game...

I'll be happy with anything but what was on XIII. Otherwise, I am passing on the game. Way too many hassles with Tages!

Thanks all!

I wish that software companies knew what a pain in the arse copy protection was in that it detracts from our enjoyment of their product.

I mean no matter what they do, people will always find a way around these types of copy protection.

I also feel like if I cannot find a crack so that I don't have to have the stupid CD in the drive that I will not buy the product. It's nice to have a forum like this to vent

if you went to the software companies with that, theyll just say, use your cd, thats why presumably u got it, right? and yeah, i dont use mine, cos i know how easily they get scratched, and ive lost some of my fav games in the past to scratches, and since then i used nocd patches but of course software companies dont rlly give a dam as long as they sell... except peter molineaux's of course wich is the only developer that agreed with the public that if games prices went down, piracy would too (he created the likes of theme hospital/park , black and white and others to come )

Safedisc v3.20.022 must be the protection on the European DVDs.

I bought the retail North American version of Far Cry today. (five CDs)
Using Protection ID ver 5.0 Final, it reports the "Play" CD as being Safedisc v3.15.010
