nero: cd copy: buffer keeps running out
i used to be able to burn most of my cd's in 15 minutes using cd copy at 4x speeds. the buffer used to stay full at all times. now i notice that it runs out refilling itself each time so the cd keeps pausing the write process taking way longer to burn
i didnt make any changes to my system it just happend all of a sudden. anyone have any info on why its doing this thanks. |

How old is the burner? If you are burning at 4x I am guessing it is pretty old. Might be time for a new one.

What I wanna know is, why CD copy? Are you copying from a virtual drive or anything? Is the harddisk having a hard time keeping up with feeding the CDRW drive's buffer? (Actually, it shouldn't - not at a paltry 4x writing speed.
)Some more info about your system, OS and burning software in general, perhaps? |

YSR, you mean a DVD-Copy, right?
You are right, most dvd-roms cannot read burned dvds very good (fast) enough. they often start at 2x reading which is too slow for a dvd on-the-fly-copy.
