And HOW right WitchMoon is . . . actually this game has more bugs in it, then a pouch of fleas . . .
I am not so sure about that i will play this game later on as much as i did play diablo2, and that is mainly becouse of the thousands and thousands of bugs it has in the 1.0 version. Things like u stand bevore a enemy, and ur character wont attack with the special attack, u can push ur right mouse button till ur finger bleed . . . ur character simply "dont want to" attack. Or the funny things like u can equipp a Armor as a Shoulder pad, Gloves as Arm Protectors, or(for the dark elf)the game dont let u equipp two one hand weapons, even thought u have the skill . . .
I had with this NoCD many hang~ups, sometime i even found myself in my windows desktop again . . . without any error message or something. Once my PC even had a complete hang up.
To be honest, i think the guys from Ascaron all choosen the wrong job . . . programming is sure a very hard job, and u should know what u do to work in it.
Maybe it says something to u, if i say that i NEVER IN MY WHOLE LIVE have played such a BUGGY game. NEVER. This is truly first time. If u would try to sell a game THIS buggy on a video game console, then u should be cruzified.
Anyway, a friend of me still think this game is great, and dont has that much bugs, but i have enought. The game itself is not THAT good as well, u r all the time run from one point on the map to another, and real "Bosses" like in Diablo2 doesnt Exsist(u know, Bosses that r alone, attack u like crazy and can take quite some punishment). The dragons here(the few, lol)doesnt attack u like all the normal enemys, and they r never alone, and can not compared with a "real" boss(at least for my taste).

I would like to know, if there is someone other out there, that is thinking like me. I was very interested when my friend told me that there is a game that comes out soon, and its like Diablo2. Even thought i was a little bit worried becouse of the characters u can choose in this game, i still was kind like excited and wanted it to come out soon. Now after playing it, i am kind like frustrated, becouse it doesnt even is as 1/4 as good as Diablo2(ok ok . . . the Grafic IS WAY BETTER then in Diablo2).
I would REALLY want to know, WHY all the Internet Game Magazines give this piece of ****t so hight ratings? Multiplayer has bugs in LAN play, and Single player has nearly as much bugs as the Multi player(it only dont has the network bugs :P ).

it is very simple many give sacred a good rating... currently there are not many games like diablo2 on the market... so, a good basic... and diablo2 had as many bugs as sacred, we wouldn't be at 1.10 otherwise... and battle.net... uh yeah, that were times... damn was that buggy, slow and damn unstable...

so your points are right... i will agree... but sacred isn't the first game...
continuing... my game does not freeze or gets back to windows currently... i have the souldrinker and i have no problems... so that is something you cannot globalize...

Okok Diablo2 had bugs yes... but remember... we had an expansion set and the patches are mostly done for reorganizing the game and keep creepy "hackers" from annoying the "good players"

Sacred is wonderfull - yeah I really think so
It has nice atmosphere, nice quests (and lots oO), the horseriding is funny and many more things...

but mostly all these things are currently bugged espacially in multiplayer...
quests wont work, horses bug players and quests or even turn to talkable NPCs, npcs disappear or dont talk anymore, enemies are "pacifists" and drop nothing, questitems keep up in the special inventory (I got the same f*** cut-off head in my inventory 71 times), items on the ground change when taken up in the inventory, combining skills doesnt work more than often, skills can only be used in support for other players when the characters want to (like heal and stuff),poison doesnt work, quest chests which must contain quest items are empty... I could continue hours I guess...

I think it should be better released as a betaversion not as a paid full version... i guess it can be fun maybe not like diablo did but u can get really addicted to it... the world is huge and the monsters ca drop really nice thingies ^^

In my opinion Sacred is a good variety to Diablo2 - and its better than Dungeon Siege - which is nothing more than a variety to D2 either... but without items to hunt, funny elements or even a story. The landscape is awesome but thats all...

I really look forward to Dungeon Siege 2 and World of Warcraft...

As far as i remember, Diablo2 was at the start in version 1.0 not THAT buggy as sacred. U could play at least the single player without greater bugs. Ok Ok . . . i even had some lags and "black walls of dead" in version 1.09, when i played it with my friends on a LAN. But i NEVER experienced something like in sacred for sure.

That u all not get me wrong . . . Sacred has a nice grafic, and the sounds r nice as well(like the townspeoples talk). The characters r nicely made, every character has many and many special items that r only for this character cass. The voices r done nicely as well.
But then again, i HATE it, that u can not set ur own keys as u want them(and didnt had Diablo2 a key config from 1.0 on?). The left 5 buttons(that u r supposed to use for weapons)r useless, i always only have 2 weapons . . . and the rest is empty. It would be better to be able to put in every button(left or right)what u want, weapons or skills. It is ok for me, if the sub quests r not saved, but its stupid if the map and the story quests r not saved in multiplayer games.

I would like u to count up ALL the bugs u have experienced in that game. And did u play throught it yet?
And the Beta version . . . i think Sacred is the most expensive Beta version i got til now . . . LOL.

All i was asking from the game was, that it is playable without THAT many bugs. Some bugs would be ok, but that much? If u could play throught the single player without the need to die becouse ur character stupidly doesnt want to do that special . . .

i installed the game, and replaced the files but when i start up, i get this error msg: Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied.

anyone know how to fix this?

as i already said... i play sacred since it release and i had no problems till now... so those bugs cannot be that huge or something...
and diablo 2 had as many bugs as sacred... comeon'... i had a lot of problems in second chapter...

and to say diablo 2 has expansion sets and updates... god damn it, sacred is what, one and a half week old?? sure... they should bring an expansion set now...

I can't believe that so many people want to play that lousy game.

- bad gameplay/story
- bad graphic (the only good looking graphic is in the main menu the water)
- tousands of bugs

... simply my opinion ...

simply thats the point...
there is nothing to ply for the moment... nothing like it... it could be exactly the same as diablo2, just new name and it would bring fun altogether... the time for release was a good one... that's the main point...

end of the month far cry comes out, end of the monthe splinter cell sequel will hit the charts... no time...
sacred had the right time for such a game...

Where to put the Base.dll from the Soudrinker-file??? Can't find an original one! Replaced the exe file, game loads but screen fades black after starting a new game (character is shown shortly before screen goes black).

Version 1.0, Win2k

No Problems if I use original Cd with old exe....

There is no original Base.dll file for the game,it's a new file for the nocd patch.

Now to my question... has anyone able to get this game working by mounting the iso to a virtual drive so the game thinks the cd is in the drive? I made a backup copy of my cd 1 and mounted the image,i've tried D-tools,and alchohol but neither of them seem to work as it uses VOB protection,any ideas?

I been searching for hours,translating german pages trying to find anything that i can. cause,the only reason i got teh game was to play it multiplayer,and to be honest it's pretty bug ridden without the 1.0.2 patch...

I also hear rumors circling around,that all SCSI drives were blacklisted with the release of the 1.0.2 patch so mounting a cd image would be impossible,anyone confirm this?

some people say scsi has been blacklisted... that i don't know... it is possible...

alcohol, daemon or something like that is not blacklisted... i tested it... even if some people say so...

as i know nobody has been able to mount an image... but some people were able to make a copy with clone cd and alcohol... but that are says from boards... i think it is possible that there are some copys... but only on specific burner with much luck... nearly all say they have to start the game twice or more until it works with the copy...
