A new media check?
well I ripped Tenchu - return from darkness onto my pc and went to patch it...but it said that there was no need for it to be patched...which strikes me as odd....also when i went to test play the ORIGINAL copy it went to load...then went back to my evox screen. When I tried it again it actually played the game. HAs microsoft implimented a new media flag for the box to read? This could be interesting?

None I know of.
You could load up an older X2 BIOS. One that dose not have the auto patchers in it. Than play the game off your HDD and see what happens.
