Unhappy ea sims game

son bought sims game but thought i,d back it up as the games get scratched.can,t get it to work properly wondered if a patch of some kind is required have backed up other games no problem am fairly new to this ,i have read the stickys but can,t seem to get the info needed to do the job or i might just be a bit thick .either way any help appreciated.

i use record now max and using bulkpaq dvd discs made image and restarted windows before writing at lowest speed all other games ok apart from sims.brand new version 9 playstation with matrix chip just bought on last friday

Is the Sims a cd game (blue bottom) or DVD game (silver bottom)? If its a silver bottom you can get away with using the Wizard on RecordNow Max.
