KOTOR audio problems

Backed the game up fine, booted fine and everything, but upon loading a saved game, there is no audio dialog whenever I talk to someone!. Strangely, if I start a new game, The audio dialog is there (well, at least on the first lvl, as far as I know). Should I patch any other xbe's besides default? All help is greatly appreciated.

are you sure you are talking to a person that has dialog? talk to one of your party members they have dialog

nothing from the party members either. Thecgame just skips over the speech (like pressing the a button) and displays the last thing they said.

Probably doesn't load fast enouph off the disk. Either a better reading disk (most likely dvd-rw) brand will fix that. I remember when I backed up mine, it did the same thing.
