No CD crack for Sid Meier's Gettysburg

I want to play my Gettysburg game without the disk. Is there a crack for this? Where do I find it?

Please scan the game files with PROTECTION ID (download from http://www.cdkiller2002.tk/) and tell us which Copy Protection it has!

There are two exes,

lee.exe - the one you usually use to start the game
mplaynow.exe - never used that one, seems to be for multiplayer

Protection ID does not find anything when checking the lee.exe.

On checking the mplaynow.exe it states:

Protected with CD-Checks!
I found this string: - the CD-ROM -

All the dll checks did not do any good.

I very much appreciate your help.

We were unable to locate the game´s CD-ROM. Without the CD, you will likely lose access to severl features of the game. If you would like to insert the CD now and search again, you may do so now.

It sounds like you can play the game without CD, but with limitation...

Try copying all the files which aren't copied by installation from CD to Install-Dir.

You can make an .ISO from the CD. (There are shareware programs such as Ultra ISO) and then 'mount' it on a CD emulation program (e.g. DAEMON). Then do a full install from the mounted ISO image (as the game will look for the device number it was installed from for the CD). Make sure you have the image mounted on that device number when you play.
This will work on a net book etc.
