px engine error

Hey guys I was trying to back up a few of my games and some say px engine error. What is this? I'm using recordnow max 4.5 with a Pioneer 106 burner. Oh and on another game I got a verification error at sector ??? something. This only happened with Alundra 2.

It means the disc is either scratched or dirty.

the px engine is what runs your Record Now software, I use and older version of Record Now called Click-N-Burn and I couldn't use my newest burners before I got the latest px engine update 507.

Try here and hunt until you find the download:

Yeah, but the problem he is having is a scratched disc. Ive had the same problem myself.

I checked my cd and it has only a few light scratches, I tried making an image with alcohol 120 and there were some reading errors as it was making the image. There is an option on alcohol 120 that says skip reading errors. Should I try this or when I play my backup will it lock up somewhere.

Get some car polish and buff out those scratches. Then try and recopy.
