Instant CD/DVD by Pinnacle

Hey all, I was checking out different DVD backup softwares online to make backups of my DVD's and I came across "Instant CD/DVD" by Pinnacle systems. My question is...... Is this software good, average, or bad.

Oh yeah one more question since 321 studio's DVD Copy Plus and DVD X Copy programs were ruled in violation of copyright law, would it be illegal to own the version or buy the version that was ruled "violation of copyright laws"

Thank you

Its ok to have 1 backup of a movie you legally own. But I suggest checking your local laws about it, if your still unsure.
