Which is better to get. the PS2 V9 or V10 ?

Which is better to get. the PS2 V9 or V10 ?

I want go buy a brand new one. Is there a way you can tell the version from looking at the box before i buy it?

Like a code on it or something?

If i got one from walmart and opened it. Will they take it back if its been opened?

Exchange only?

Sounds like lots of people have taken them back.

Let me know

thanks

if u could get a v7 new i would go for that theres a very few still selling if ur lucky u may find one v9/v10 has problems with the BA chip overheating and killing the unit i think its hit and miss my virst v9 did this but my new v9 dms3 is still working for now and wal-mart will take it back if u ask for a exchange its easier cause when asking for a refund they want to ask 50 million ?'s and they need a CSM up at the front they look at it closey match the serails and all this and that just to get a refund unless u find a dumb teenager working at a store in the returns then it wont be a problem if u can look at the packing Foam = v9 Cardboard= v10 u can look through the hole that reads the seril number to find out

yeah but if i was u i would try and get a v10 cause i heard more cases of v9s dieing then v10s. And another reason sony put out the v10s real quick it was like v9s came out then all of a sudden v10s so i think they knew there was problems with v9s so thry hurryed and put the 10s. But if u can check the boxes for cardboard packing that will be a v10 reason i didnt get a v10 is cause they got them all locked in glass here at the stores then i told them i wanted a ps2 they just picked one i didnt get to look at them. And besides no telling what they would think if i asked to pick and then look at ever unit to find a v10 lol they would prob think i was doing something illeagl.

Shedding some Light

This PS2 is a V7 39001. It actually says right on the box its a 39001

So does a V10 box have the version written right on the box???

Does anyone got a V10 box to see????

I want to get a V10 but I need to be able to identify at the store. Somehow....

It will look funny if you keep returning PS2 's until you get a V10

As for you letting them pick a box from the case for you.... I would just say i want a version 10 because there is problems with the version 9 and you dont want it... What are they going to say anyways?? You cant buy a PS2 because your picky. Who cares if they think its suspicious. Its not them thats buying it.

the ps2 you are buying now would most likely be a v10, it should say scph 50001 or something like that, but one sure way is seeing if its held up by cardboard inside or styrofoam, if cardboard then its a v10.

Just ask the seller that u want a v10, and if they say they are not sure then have them open the package right there.
