I edited this post so you can make your own custom Dream Passport 3 disc with your own DC games on it.

From your DP3 disc, you'll need the following files

1ST_READ.BIN
MAIGO.BIN
SG_DPLDR.BIN
DP3.INI

You will also need an ip.bin (obviously)

You will need also the following folders form DP3:

DPETC (Contains 9 files)
DPFONT (Contains 4 files)
DPMODEL (Empty folder, but is required)
DPSS (You can put images here to be your screensavers)
DPTEX (Contains 25 files)
DPWWW (The amount of files here depends on how many games you will have on the disc. One file you must have here is "index.htm". There is also a sub-directory called "IMG" which has four files)

Now all the files and directories you took from your DP3 you will need to place in the root directory of the disc you will make.

Also in the root directory you will need to create a folder for each game you plan to have on the disc. Inside that folder place all the files of that particular game.

Now you must edit the DP3.INI file. Open it with notepad and edit the following lines:

[Browser]

StartURL1='file:/dpwww/index.htm'
StartURL2='file:/dpwww/index.htm'
StartPage='file:/dpwww/index.htm'

then a little further down you'll see the following

[Launcher1]

AppUrl='http://www.sonic.com'
AppDir='[B]Name of game folder[B\]'
AppName='1ST_READ.BIN'
AppOS=0
AppDA=3

[Launcher2]

AppUrl='http://www.sonic.com'
AppDir='[B]Name of game folder[B\]'
AppName='1ST_READ.BIN'
AppOS=0
AppDA=3

The line with "AppDir=" needs to have the name of the folder you assigned to your games.

Now, the line with "AppDA=" this applies to games that have digital audio (CDDA). Put where ever the first audio track begins. If the game does not have digital audio just leave this line alone. Once you make the changes save DP3.ini.

You'll need to add more if you want more than 3 games, for example

[Launcher3]

AppUrl='http://www.sonic.com'
AppDir='[B]Name of game folder[B\]'
AppName='1ST_READ.BIN'
AppOS=0
AppDA=3

and so on...

You can have images of the game(s) you will put on the disc. The images must be placed in the DPWWW folder. Don't make the images too large since on your monitor they will loook small but on your TV they will look huge. You can name the image whatever you want.

Next inside the DPWWW folder you must edit the INDEX.HTM file. Open it with notepad and edit the name of the games to match the name of the games you woll put on the disc. Also, you can edit the links of the images (which are in the DPWWW folder) to match the ones for your games. And you must add a link for each game you wish to launch, look for a line like this

href="x-avefront://---.dream/proc/launch/1">

I don't know a lot of HTML so I really can't help more than that. Once you're done with that save the changes and open it with your internet browser to see if it's correct.

Now you must hack the boot bins (usually 1st_read.bin) for each game with the correct LBA value (11700 or what ever it may be for you depending what you have in the first session of your disc.) Make sure to have the ip.bin file which you will use for your DP3 disc when you hack the boot bin. You'also need to hack the bin files in the root folder MAIGO.BIN, SG_DPLDR.BIN and 1ST_READ.BIN. Binhack 1ST_READ.BIN last. Once all that is done place the bins back to the specific folders (if you moved them that is).

Once you have all this ready, use what ever selfboot method you find most convinient for you.

Hacker999, where did you get your KOF'99 disc from? maybe i can track the image down and see how its burned, then maybe i can burned backups that way to work with codebreaker.

about dp3, some games have dp3 as an in-game browser. the bootbin will be 2_dp.bin. if you are going to burn it on a stand alone cd, you can rename it to 1st_read.bin.

also, you can customize the dp3.ini and your folder structure in dp3. for instance, instead of all those folders, i make one folder, name it , "DP3CORE", and put every file from the other folders in the dp3core folder. then delete the other folders. then you have to edit the dp3.ini file in the [System} part so everything points to the dp3core dir., and edit the file, dp3.dps or is it dp2.dps.?? i can't recall, but you should see a .dps file.

you don't have to have images for the games. you can just make a simple page with links to launch the games. once you gain experience on how to do all of this, then you can create customized start pages with a game menu page of images or whatever.

I made the KOF 99 disc with a sort file that was given to me. But I've lost contact with the person that gave it to me.

Thanks for the info again. I'll try this out right now.

Actually, now that I think about it, I used echelon's selfboot method so I definately burned it in the audio/data format.

As for the 0gdtex.pvr I don't remember, sorry.

Hmm that's hard to say if it's the same one. It's been quite a while so I don't know.

Also, I don't think it matter if what type of CDR you use as long as the data fits on the disc. I was thinking it did at one point since some GD-ROMs use dummy files. And in order to get the same order of files as the GD-ROM you might need a disc with more space because of the dummy file, that may be the case but don't quote me on that.

To answer your question, I use 80 minute discs for all my back ups. Except the DP3 disc I made yesterday I had to use a 99 minute CDR to fit the 3 games I wanted.

Big thank you to hrb2k and Excalibur007 ( and Jeffma, although he didn't help me directly) for the info. I made my fiirst custom DP3 disc and everything was turned out great (Finally! ). I definately like DP3 better than PW for compilation CDs. Although Dynamite Cop still doesn't work no matter where I put the files(I'm starting to think this game has some sort of protection but I don't see how). I'll just give up on that one since all my other games worked so I'm not gonna complain.

I think I can make a tutorial for this now. If people are still interested I'll make one. Credits will go to hrb2k and Excalibur007 for helping me out.

Soldiaz: what you have is the PWB (Planet Web Browser) 2.6
DP3 is another browser. The files are different. If you want to make your own custom disc with PWB, follow what hrb2k
wrote here: http://www.fileforums.com/showthread...threadid=52807

I have not seen any iso's of DP3 anywhere but, if you have a DP3 disc, follow what I wrote here:
