Pal 2 Ntsc game Patches
I have just got past a very frustrating and fruitless time searching for patches for Tiger Woods 2k4, NBA Street Vol. 2 and Timesplitters2.
I legitimately own Pal copies of all those games as well as others and have them installed onto my Hard drive. My problem was the games mentioned do not work in NTSC mode - all my other Pal games I own DO. The reason I wanted to run them all in NTSC mode is because I own a True VGA adaptor, x2vga by Neoya, and enjoy playing my games via a 19" monitor. In order to use this wonderful piece of kit the Pal xbox must be in NTSC mode to enable progressive scan modes ( 480p 720p etc.) Enigmah video selector does that. Thanks to a "few good men" who helpled me out I now run all my games in NTSC mode on the x2vga and they are great. I know many other xbox pal users out there will run into the same problem should they ever want to hookup to a High-Definition TV or VGA adaptor to see the beauty of progressive scan 480p and 720p. To that end I have made PPF patch files for all 3 games mentioned above. These are NOT original default.xbe files but the Hex differences needed to patch the original Pal default.xbe to a NTSC version of the same for use as explained above. Being that they are only patches of Hex code differences they are not copyright infringements and therefore legal. I stress they are totally useless without the original game files anyway. I believe they should be made available somewhere for people to download but I do not know of a website that may host them. Can anyone let me know of an xbox website that would be willing to host these files which I am sure many Pal xbox owners would be grateful for. cheers vik
