big trouble
would i still be able to play my ps2 even though one of the legs, from one of the chips on the mainboard came off. or am i totally screwed.

Which leg and which chip? Give us more info. Maybe you can even resolder back.

well its a version 3. its one of the legs where your supposed to solder 9 wires from the messiah 2 . and the pins are very close together.

Would it be this chip? If so that is the bios chip, it you lifted a leg just try and solder it back down unless you broke it off all together at which point your screwed and should just get a new PS2, which is what you should think about any ways because V3 PS2's have bad lasers. But any way I have to commend you for trying, V3 PS2's are very hard to do and take some time.
