PS2 Modchip for Divx

What's the best modchip to use to watch Divx (mpeg4, .avi) files on PS2? I have a huge collection of Divx movies (most are not certified by Divx.com) that I would love to play on my PS2. Btw, I haven't received my PS2 yet, but I figure it will be one of the newer models - sorry I can't give more info, just wondering what options are out there.

Thanks!
DJF

with any no swap mod chip you can play divx. you will download the media player for ps2. if you have the money and really like you divx then i wud recomend you get a DMS3. with the dms3 you can boot the media player from the mem card then pop in your disk with the movie on it and away you go!! check out www.dms3.com and go to DMS3 modchip for more info!

Yea, I was just reading up on the Reality Player. Question: Can you fast forward and rewind Divx movies, or does it have to play straight through? I'm thinking either the Messiah 2 or DMS3, I'm going to get it professionally installed, so the complexity doesn't matter. But with the DMS3 don't you have to hit certain buttons etc when booting backup games or DVD's? And will the PS2 DVD Remote work with either modchip, as well as the divx playback feature?

you don't need xport or sharkport, just burn the reality player to cd and it'll put the player into memorycard, everything completely explained in that spanish tutorial, use google translator for it.
