Largest Memory Card Available?

Just curious, what's the largest memory card that you can buy for a PS2 that doesn't require any special boot procedure such as loading with an AR or Gameshark? Please provide links.

Also, have any of you had good luck with any system that allows USB transfer of saves to your computer HDD? Which systems work and why?

Any advice would be very welcome, thanks to all!

I remember a site that use to tell how you can solder a memory card (compact flash, secure digital...) onto certain points of the ps2 memory card but I can't quite remember where it is. If you happen to find it please post because I have a cf card here and would like more space myself. However if you don't wanna crack open your ps2 memory card there are things you can get that is basicly the same thing you just plug a ps2 memory card into it and then 8 megs + however much you bought (16 and 32).

anyway here's the site for them http://www.gocybershop.ca/ just go into Playstation 2 -> Memory cards and hten it's PS2 Expansion Memory Card xx Megs

Actually you can get 40 mb. This Little device right Here will expand your official 8 mb memory card by 32 mb making a total of 40. I haven't personally tried this but it sounds really cool if it really works. I own three 8 mb cards and one 16 mb one. Got a sharkport too. Not very practical for me though. Hope this helps.

seaneyb, do you have a 16mb memory card? Which one? Does it need any special procedure to boot (Like and AR2 or GS)?

Basicly, I just want the largest card I can find that works just like a sony 8mb card would. If the card looks cool and integrates with my computer that's just a nice bonus.

orion, I've seen those several times, but I just want to hear how well they work from someone who owns it before going out to buy one. You can find that item at Best Buy.
