Smartchip Ver1 install Diagram- HELP PLEASE!!

I have a smartchip for a PS2 Version 1 with a GH-005 motherboard. All of the install diagrams that I have found are for a GH-004. There are alot of differences. Does anyone have an install diagram for a GH-005 or know where to get one. I would even settle for a pic of your motherboard with the chip installed (version 1 GH-005).

Are you sure that you have V1 ? I just saw at messiah diagrams that ps2 V2 has GH-005 motherboard. get smartchip install diagram for V2 and compare it with your motherboard, it should be the same.

According to reading the back of the PS2 it is a version 1. I have seen installs of a DMS3 on a Version 1 GH-005 but not a smartchip.

All the ones I have seen are V1a meaning GH-004.

There is a V1c meaning GH-005

I need to get my hands on a Version 1 OR 2 (From what I have seen they are the same) GH-005 diagram for a Smartchip.

I did ask the place I bought them from and no reply (yet).

I checked all those places and they are all the same (GH-004).

All the ones that say 090a as far as I have seen are GH-004. And have the chips in different spots with different conections.

do you mean that even diagram for V2 doesn't match with your motherboard?

No,
All the ones that I have found that deal with installing a Smartchip do not match.

I found an install diagram for a DMS3 that does match. But the wiring for a Smartchip and DMS3 are different so I can't really distinguish some of the pins to connect to.

I just talked with the place I bought it from Fastmodz.com and his exact works were "I dont have any others go look on the net". That was really helpful.

check this out. I beleave you actually have a V2, so you should use the V2 diagram

http://www.backup-source.com/scene/p...s/identify.php

at the top of the page is a pretty cool version calculator you can download.

Trust me it is a version 1. That list you are looking at does not have all the PS2 bios / board types. I have gone though about 300 sites today looking at all sorts of sh$t. I appreciate the help though.

If you look at the smartchip diagrams for a version 1 and a version 2 (090a GH-004) they are the same. I think I have figured out all the pins using a DMS3 GH-005 and the Smartchip GH-004 diagram. I have one pin I cannot figure out. It is the "Y" pin on the Smartchip card. I need to find out where on the GH-005 board it is.

ummmm ok what bios is yours. do you know how to tell what bios number it is? By the way that list is complet. The only bios they arent showing is the 020 for the gh-005 but the points are the same for both bios versions

if your board number shows GH-005 it is a V2 with out doubt.

The DMS3 diagram for a GH-005 is showing a V2 board also.

take a look at the duo diagrams. That should help with cross referenceing of points.

I have used that one for some of the points. I still can't find the "Y" point. Here is where it is on a GH-004.
