Generals v1.7 Problems

I have been trying to get the v1.7 No Cd patch to work for Generals not Zero hour, I thought I finally got it too work, the no cd thing didnt come up but then it said Technical Difficulties and I cant get get it to work!

Oh Ya I tried this:

1. Install C&C Generals.
2. Download and install the official 1.07 patch.
3. Download both the v1.0 fix and also the 1.7 (should be 1.07) fix from gamecopyworld.
4. Use the generals.exe from the v1.0 fix.
5. Use the game.dat file from the v1.7 fix.

It worked then right when I got past the Cd Check it said Technical Difficulties ARGG!!

Plz Help

Hi ,

just change the generals.exe file. Dont change the game.dat file you ll get problems to play the game online and u cant update the game to another version.

the generals.exe from GCW version 1.0 is working on all versions. It works like a loader. But it dont works without CD.

i used the v1.7 dat file by drunk and an exe file from an unversioned crack

works for me dude - though i have not tried to go online

i reinstalled da game downloaded and installed da v1.6 patch then downloaded the v1.6 no-cd crack changed just the generals.exe then went onto the game went online and it automatically downlaoded and installed da v1.7 patch and now i can also play online........
