site background - please explain...

ok, I've posted heaps at xbox-scene and at www.**********.info (oz site - 400 plus posts), but this site is very strict on comments which border on grey areas, there seems to be a paranoia about being shut down. Can some one give me some backgroung on this site, I've read the rules but that doesn't tell me much.. top right hand corner add for dvdxcopy and alcohol120%... what do people do with this software...make legal copies of software they own... hmmmm...

the rules here are not much different from xbox-scene,your not allowed to post iso or warez links or links to software made with the m$ xdk and were not here to help u back up rented or borrowed games but to help you back up games that you legally own

Yes, that is exactly what we do. In most countries people have the right to make a backup copy of anything they own. We are here to help exercise that freedom.

Copy protections limit people that don't know much about pc's, from backuping their media and programs. This forum is to help such people, and anyone else in need of help. And those utiltities are the tools needed. Hell, if i didn't backup my halo disk, I wouldn't have the game anymore. It is been scratched beyond repair and that's the truth.

If anyone backups an illegal copy, that is not our problem. We don't police the law, it is their problem. We don't take any liability if greedyness gets someone in trouble with the law. We will also not welcome such things being talked about on the board, or anything warez related.

Whether or not you abuse our help is only up to you. However, we don't encourage and will remove anything that we see as aiding with warez. (ex: asking about a downloaded iso might get you banned).
