PS2 V4R Mod Opinions

Well i know a bunch of people have asked about what mod chips are best for PS2 but i would like to know which one would be the best for mine. I have a V4R that with just my movie burning experience plays DVD+R and DVD-R but won't read RWs at all. I don't know if this will cause any problems with backup games. Everyone keeps saying that the DMS3 V2.0 is the way to go because of all the features it has. The only thing i want to do with my PS2 is to play backup PS2 and PSone games, plus full movie support. Is there anything cheaper i can get to do just that? Thanks for any help you can provide.

The Duo chip is the way to go man. Its only about $19 with free shipping. You can get it from www.modchips.cc That way if your laser goes out you dont loose out too much.

It'll allow you to play both ps1 and ps2 backups without restricting any Movie DVD playback.

Tyler!
