backups

how can i backup my original dreamcast games as my young son has been damaging them meaning i have to buy them again

I'm afraid that you may be out of luck..

The Dreamcast uses a special type of D-ROM called a "GD-ROM"; it cannot be read in a PC CD-ROM drive, and even if it could, most of the games use protection systems to stop them from being copied.

Someone else reading these forums might be able to expand on this, but I think you'll have to resort to getting your games again, or via another means..

Ummm....no. If you had been visiting this site for the past month you would have read about using the dreamcast to pc serial link cable to rip games. Make sure you look around before you ask a question or before you answer it....as this topic has been discussed wwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too many times.
