Well the worst has happened my v9 died :(
my v9 died today aftr watching a moive same cases as all the others the tray wont open unit 20 secs then it wont close till 20 secs later blue lights flashes off and on for the longest and when the tray dose go shut the laser or cd dose not spin or work i know its the eeprom problem i contacted netmech hes going to install me a dms3 in a v10 for me for only 10$
 is the laser from the v9's still good or any thing that i could salavge for money or dose it F**K up ever thing when that protection kicks in

well i took it apart and found out it had a magic V chip installed so i pulled it off it fixed the problem with the loading slow but still no audio or video but the disk spins some what now so im just going to get a v10 modded with dms3 and forgot the v9 units

yeah thats what he said but come to find out it was a magic V chip i dont know if he started off with a smart chip and switched to magic then 2nd time i had him fix it or what but hes said he would do a dms3 in a v10 for me and i belive u can tell if u got a dms3 cause theres alot of extra opitions to that chip unlike the others

The ripper is PAL only though... well it was last time I checked so you are pretty secure in getting a DMS if you are NTSC based...
What are you doing with the V9 laser?? or anyone else who has killed their station - I need a V9 laser for a customer who killed theirs with cat hair or insect intrusion - not sure which - both were present in the drive...

Sorry buddy. That is just what I would want out the the coveted v9 laser. I would sell to Shadow before i sold it to anybody at ownz. All there are going to do is kill whatever system they put it in by using a fliptop or slide card.

o i made up the price lol i figerd they was like 60$ new but if shadow offers 50$ dam stright i take it and ship it free i accept paypal i guess i should had checked into the prices of a new v9 laser lol seen how much they was new instaed of guessing

Now ya done it
If my head wasn't hurting before.........
After a long hard month of sorting through the crap in my head, I went with the Magic V 50k for my v9. Now I read they are dropping dead left and right. I was about to send out the PS2 and the chip. Do you guys know of anyone who will accept my UNUSED magic chip and upgrade me to the DMS3 at a discounted price. I am know sure if I put this Magic in my machine, I will be attending a wake in no time. Thanks. Track
