p2 prob

hi all ive got some prblems with my ps2 it is getting hard to boot and freezes my copys and originals also it has scratched a full ring near the center of a couple of disks ive tried using a lense cleaner cd and no luck

Have you tried adjusting the laser once before. It sounds like you or some one have adjusted the white cog to bring the laser to close to the disk to where it is actually touching it and not only eating up your disks but the laser lens as well.

my ps2 is an older model v3 i think.
and it has a messia 2 chip

Woa a v3. How long did you expect that to last you man? Get a new laser. Or put your ps2 in the vertical position, if it isnt already.

Well honestly Im suprised its lasted this long. Not trying to be rude (not this time at least) but I really think you should either get a new ps2 or consider at least a new laser.
