GAME SHARK SWAP

I'm having trouble playing my backups of Namco games(Tekken Tag & Ridge Racer V) with my Game Shark v.1.6. The game loads for a sec., but then dies. I can still hear the disk spin but the screen is black. What is the deal?!!?!

are u using standard boot or ea boot?
