Unhappy problem with PRIMO DVD

i have a sony dw u14a dvd rw and a smsung 332b dvd rom drive but when try to do any backups it keeps telling me no compatable drives found, pleeeeeeez help

Try Recordnowmax or Alcohol 120.

i have purchased alcohol 120% but lots of problems with it locking up pc alcohol dev team are trying to sort this little problem out and i can't seem to be able to get recordnow max, alcohol worked fine with the trial but as soon as you purchased the retail vers it freezes your pc,i also have nero express and that cannot detect my recorder could it be that my sony is master and samsung is slave but are both on the secondary ide cable,

me and hundreds of other people have emailed them and they trying to fix this problem so in the meantime i'm going to try some other s/ware, i've also heard of 'dvd detective' do you know of this proggy if so is it worth having a look at?
