and maybe incompatability issues if there was any
i got a 106 found no probs. I wouldnt mind burning at 8x

I've got a 105 and was considering the 107, but 8x media is rare and expensive, and then there's also the fact that dual layer drives should be arriving soon.
I think I can manage with 105 until the dual layer drives come down to a reasonable price.
