Problems reading DVD-R Disc

Hi,
I am trying to back up Bruce Almighty on DVD. I have used DVD Shrink and then CloneDVD and managed to burn the DVD but it will only be recoginised in my DVD-RW drive, and will not even load in my DVD drive. It just says no disc in drive.
I am using Bulkpaq DVD 4x, it could be the quality of DVD-Rs but no sure. I havent checked it on any other DVD drives as of yet.

Any suggestions to the problem would be great.
Thanks

Do any dvd backups work in your player or is this your first backup? Check here to see what formats your dvd player supports.

this is my first backup. I tried it in another PC and no such luck, do you know of any sites that give a complete step by step of backing up DVD's.

Or do you know what the problem is?
I might have done it wrong though!

think i know what is wrong now, have just put a blank DVD+R in the drive and the drive doesn't recognise it. Theres the problem. But is okay, as i have a DVDRW Drive which recognises it!!

So, i guess that ends the discussion, thanks for leading me in the right direction.

Cheers
