PS2 and Final Fantasy 9
Hey all!
I recently tried to fire up FF9 on my PS2 (Version 4, Apple Mod), and discovered that while it runs fine... it looks like CRAP. It's all dithered, to the point where on the world map it looks like I'm watching the game through a screen door! The PS2 setup menu options for PSX games (fast CD read, smoothed textures) have NEVER seemed to do anything on any of my games since I first modded the system - did I do something wrong (the Apple chip otherwise works flawlessly) or is this a common problem? They CERTAINLY don't stay set from reset to reset. ![]() Any ideas? My old PSX is out of commission (see my other thread today), so I'm kind of stuck! - Gurm |

not all games work you know
I read it on a magazine and they compared it and there wasn't a big difference... Just increase the disc speed |

Ok, I'm thinking it's POSSIBLE that my backup is glitched - it is kinda scratchy. I'll try the originals. Hrm.
