SCPH-50001 questions

Just picked up the new bundle pack thats a version 10 and I have a couple questions. First, where is the IR port and what good is it? Second, what's the best modchip for the v10 that will let me play all backups as well as originals and dvd's? Can I still play online with a mod chip too? Thanks.

I would go with a Smartchip or a magic V. I dont play online but to my knowledge you can only use originals with chip disabled.
