DVD Burner installation help

I got two questions that I'm hoping you guys can help me answer.

I currently have a Pioneer DVD-ROM DVD-1205 and a LG 40X/12X/40X CD-Writer on my computer.

#1 Right now I just bought a Plextor PX-708A DVD-Writer and I don't know whether or not I should have it replace my Pioneer DVD-ROM DVD-1205 or to just keep the thing in and all three of them mounted.

#2 How would I go about installing this hardware for optimum performance and if I follow the recommendations that people give, how would I go about installing it the way it was recommended?

Thanks.

On another note. Should I be worried that Plextor PX-708A is made in China? My friend seems to think so and at this moment I haven't been able to make an opinion of my own on my DVD burner's reliablility due to its manufacturing origin.

I would keep all three installed if there is room and it is possible for you.

Make sure your DVD Writer is set as Master and your other drives are set as slaves.

Also I would only use the older dvd player as the read so my new dvd writer lasts longer.
