name a chip
ok, my uncle and one of my friends need to mod their ps2's. can u guys name some chips as good or better than the messiah 2.
my friend has a new silver ps2 my uncle has a brand new normal one- probably version 7-10 thanks in advance. |

Easy:
V1-V7 DUO followed closely by Apple Pro DMS3 if you have the money and are careful with wire length etc V9-V10 BlueX-5 DMS3 V9 MagicV 50k / 5k6 - may have problems with blue bottom originals though... would suggest that all stations mentioned though are V9 or above.

k. my uncles PS2 says version 50002. and there isnt many screws on the back. much less than my version 4. so is that the newest version or what?

If it’s for a V1-V7 I would recommend the Apple Pro unless you plan on installing it yourself then the Duo only because of the fact that it has fewer wires. As for the V9 and V10's the magic V 50k or 5k6 only because of the price compared to the DMS3 and M2 and the CD thing is not an issue if it’s installed correctly. I have been very impressed with the Magic V's. But in the end it’s really a matter of personal opinion as they all perform the same task (except for the DMS3 which has features most people will never use anyway that you pay allot for) and perform equally well.
