modchip for jap ps2 15000

Anyone please tell me. I've got jap ps2 model 15000. I'm looking for the best modchip for my console that let me play cdr and dvdr backup. Thank you.

There is no anecdote on the forum for NEO 2.2 with JAP SCPH 15000. So that may not be a solution for you. But give Playstationmods a call to be sure.

I have a 15000 and put the modchip.com mod on. In its current version, it requires Gameshark/Action Replay 2 for its boot disk (I'm not sure if that includes a PAL version as available in UK). When I got this modchip, it was the Beta version that worked with the Utility CD; that works fine and I didn't upgrade with the free AR2 final version they sent me for the just explained reason. It plays all backups except protected EA games - but DVDs are now dominating the scene and I want to play PAL DVD originals.

So I'll be moving to the Origachip next week (www.madeiragames.com) which is a proven solution for JAP PS2s, including EA games. I don't believe in the Messiah and NEO4 for Jap machines is in an ambiguous state.
