hey bighap the firmware u linked me to that was made by pioneer or was it hacked ? cause i read hacked firmware can kill a burner and i found a patch for RNM to fix it where i can burn riteks g03s an princos at 2x with that firmware on my a06 i just want to be sure that the firmware is offical b4 upgarde rnm and the firmware again

It's hacked. Almost all Pioneer owners used hacked firmware. And it is not just hacked firmware that can screw up your drive. You void your warranty even if you use official Pioneer firmware.

i use a Pioneer a106d it writes at 4x on datasafe disks dvd-r/rw with RNM works all the time have you update/checked your aspi layer some times this helps with out of the box firmwear

o i just heard from a guy on ownz said he got firmware on his a06 and it died with in 8 months so it had me scared to use it thinking it will kill my a06

8 months? That can be the lifespan of a burner. No proof the firmware is at fault.

i got it working now it burns 2x i got a updated dll file that makes it change on RNM from max mid slow to were u can pick 1x-16x and body need this i can link u to were i got it i seen a few post on here were peps said they can only do slow mid fast and wondered how to fix that.
