WC Snooker 03 and FADE question

On world championship snooker 2003, the game start screen says to ensure that the CD is in the drive. This is past the Safedisc protection and happens whether installed from original or copy. I want to know whether the game needs the CD for commentary, or whether there are further Safedisc checks going on while you play, and thus initilizing the FADE protection system. Has anyone played the game a good deal into career mode using the crack? I don't want to spend weeks working my way up the ladder, only to find FADE kicking in and spoiling my game! Thanks

As far as 'Use the Search button' goes, I can't seem to find anything concrete regarding FADE. I have been playing WC Snooker 2003 for a week or so now with the crack and suffered no ill effects. The game does tell you to keep the original CD in the drive, but you gain nothing by doing this, except perhaps (?) that the game is checking to see if you have the original disk. If FADE is running, then it's a piss poor system, as you can play the game fine! I always though the idea od copy protection was to stop you playing the game. I have my doubts over whether this FADE thing exists! If anything happens to affect the gameplay, I'll let you know.

To quote the Codemasters Website:

'Following its success with Operation Flashpoint, Codemasters is also using Fade with a new snooker game. Copies play normally for a while, but after a predetermined number of potshots, gravity is progressively turned off so the balls start behaving oddly and end up floating over the table.'

MMMmmmmmmmmm!

If it does use FADE, will the NOCD crack prevent it occuring?

I'm starting the career ladder. Do you suggest I use the original (always in the drive tray..ergo-A pain), or run the backup and nocd crack?
