I have installed the game, applied the 1.0 nocd/fixed exe, installed 1.01 and the game runs fine without the need of a crack. [edit] It does ask for CD1 to be in the drive but I have that.
What I am looking for now is a nocd for Halo 1.03.

You can stop looking for that file (sd-f411n.rar).
I downloaded it (from awpost.com) and guess what? It's not for Jedi Academy. The NFO-file says "FIFA Football 2004 Update v1.1 NoCD *GERMAN*" and the exe is "fifa2004.exe". Somebody's strange idea of a joke I assume? Ha ha, very funny. Not!

b9AcE: thanks for the conformation. It smelled like a bogus file.
Veky: It might seem to work fine, but the only way that I'd trust that method is if they didn't actually change the EXE file between versions 1.0 and 1.01. Applying an old NoCD EXE over a new patch version is likely to leave you running the old version still, resulting in the following problems: - Most (if not all) new features and fixes will not be present - Potential problems may arise due to the other files that have been updated when the EXE has not - Defeats the purpose of installing the patch in the first place Of course, it will work fine in the (unlikely) event that Lucasarts did not release an updated EXE with the version 1.01 patch. |

They do patch the EXE-file when you update to 1.01.
I installed a fresh copy of Jedi Academy and replaced original EXE with RAZOR1911's EXE. Then I applied the official patch (JKAcademy1_01.exe). When it was done I compared the EXE-file from RAZOR1911 with the one I now had in my install-directory. They were not the same. Conclusion is that they do modify the EXE-file when you update and we do not know what they do to it. So, we'd better wait for an updated 1.01-crack if we're gonna play without CD... |

So, I guess there's still no fix for this yet.
Looks like a lot of people want this - not just me |

Yeah LH I don't know what the heck happened... It's on the list of recently added games on GCW and yet it seems to be ignored by the cracking groups...

I think I know what the problem is: GCW doesn't have a link or info posted for the official 1.01 patch. I tried submitting the info via e-mail, but the link is broken on the site for sending email to GCW. Maybe someone else can submit this info to GCW:
Download page URL: http://support.lucasarts.com/patches/jediacademy.htm Direct download URL: ftp://ftp.lucasarts.com/patches/pc/JKAcademy1_01.exe Patch info: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy For PC: 1.01 Update Patch Name: 1.01 Update Platform: PC Format: CD-ROM Size: 11.0MB Min. Requirements: N/A Posted: 11/03 Installation: After downloading the update, double click on JKAcademy1_01.exe to install. The installer will automatically search for the folder where you originally installed Jedi Academy and install all of the updates. If the update does not locate Jedi Academy on your system, you may need to reinstall the game from the original CD and then run the JKAcademy1_01.exe. NOTE: This patch is completely compatible with old single player save game files. All Multiplayer users must use Jedi Academy version 1.01. This update for the game has been modified to correct: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Multiplayer: * Correct an issue that caused Internet servers to time-out too early on the master server list. * Correct an issue that caused various movement sounds not to play consistently (footsteps, rolling, etc...) * Correct various exploits, including one that allows for illegal character models. * Correct an issue that occurred when disabling the second saber icon that appears over the player's head. * Correct an issue that allowed the rocket launcher to lock on after death. * Correct an issue that prevents the camera shake when you are hit by an explosive. * Correct the roll animation. Single Player: * Correct an issue that allowed a player to select a force power that is already at the maximum setting. * Correct an animation issue that occurred when enemies force push you while executing a special move. * Correct various rag-doll issues. * Correct an issue that caused your skill level to reset when resetting defaults in the game. * Correct an issue that prevented the Single Player game from starting. Global: * Fixed dynamic glow performance for new ATI drivers NOTE: if you are experiencing low framerate, go into the Setup/More Video section and change dynamic glow to off. * Force feedback now defaults to off. IMPORTANT: If you experience hiccupping while playing, especially during light-saber battles, go into the Control, Mouse/Joystick section and set force feedback to “No”. NOTE: Gravis gamepad users should turn force feedback to off. The current Gravis drivers are not compatible with Jedi Academy and will cause the game to crash. * Provides updated EAX 4.0 sound support. File Version: JKAcademy1_01.exe (LucasArts FTP Site) |

Look, no cracks around and it doesnt look one will be either. If one does turn up, I'm sure it will turn up on GCW.
Happy New Year
