This smells warez like sh*t. Multi-player mode dosnen't requer a CD. If you nwmain.exe cracked you don't need a cd anymore. Think his wanna skip ether CD-key check by bioware, or other things that indicate that he dosen't have the original game.

He didn't ask for a NoCD, just a private server fix that dosen't "call home" for private LAN games etc. What's the problem then assuming that he's got the original? As far as I can see there's no "warez ****" involved (so far)

You can can stop the software from talking home.

c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
Filename:host
Add:
Code:
127.0.0.1       nwmaster.bioware.com
THIS does NOT remove the need for a 1 valid key pr player. But stops the software from talking home ( Ie , you dont have to login to play a lan game. Just enter a dummy user/pass )

still can't see the problem. The LAN game dosen't need internet acces.

He just want to skip the logon proc, not tampering with the CD-key check as far as I can see. If that's illegal, well...depends on the purpose
