Freezing and Skipping

I have a V7 Ps2 with Messiah 2 Pro, it's about a year old and it has been freezing the image a little bit and sometimes the sound is delayed, is this the laser or what? And also, what games have DNAS and is there any ways around it?

Is the problem just on back-ups or originals too? Either way it sounds like the laser. Try to give it a good cleaning. This very well could solve the problem. Maybe your disk have become scratched too. It could be a variety of things. Try cleaning it with a laser cleaning disk, try cleaning off your disks too.

Do you leave your PS2 on for extended periods of time? If so, the laser could be shot.

Right....Three things it could be.

1. Yep, by playin dvd+r u could have put extra strain on yr laser shortening the life of it. Try switching to a very dark surface dvd-r like ritek, traxdata or dvd master.

2. Sound problems ( echo's an delays) r also sympomatic of a bad m2 fitting regarding the clockwire. This is usually associated with version 5 ps2's but could also happen on a version 7 with a careless install.

3.Have u tried running a laser cleaning disc through it? Run it through three times dry and try bootin stuff. If still got the problem then run through another three times wet.

Hope this helps....
