Has anyone made a PAL-NTSC switch using R422 bridge?

Has anyone made a switch using the schematics from the modchip install guide on http://www.gamefreax.de/indexe.html
At the bottom of the guide is a pic of a bridge which if shorted forces 60hz display?
It'd be handy to have a switch to force those pesky 50hz games without relying on VGA, or having to patch the bloody game.
I'm interested to see if anyone has tried this....please reply.

Please......surely someone must have tried this?
My main concern is doing it without the mod chip - or doesn't it effect this particular bridge?
