Well, here's a flawed workaround..

Try this. First make your backups of the originals, then do the install. Next, play the game with the original cd #2 in and save at the first possible moment. After that, exit the game, insert your copy of cd # 2 and load your saved game. It will run from that point. However, if you die and try to reload , it will kick you out with that pesky error and you'll have to restart. So, maybe that will help some of our incredible friends here make that patch. I don't know. I am not as smart as they are, but i try. Also, i noticed that,ocasionnaly, the mouse will stop working and i have to go into the control options and increase the sensitivity to get it back on track. It's a lot of trouble, but i'm trying to figure this out from a greenie standpoint. Hope i helped somehow. Oh, and thank you guys a lot for being there for us folks with 4 year old children. They just love to destroy our lovely games. At least with a backup, we don't have to kill them over it.
