Dungeon Siege LoA Expansion - how to copy?

I just bought Dungeon Siege LoA and I wanted a copy of the CD's on my HD. I only have one drive in my system right now - a TDK 52/24/48 burner.

If I try to copy the CD's to a hard drive I get a file error on 0002.tmp. I can't even right click on that file.

I tried making a backup of the disks with CloneCD, but restoring the images always hangs that burn at 99%.

Thanks for any help.

According to Cyclone, the game is procted with "Smarte" and I realy looking for information about that protection. BUT it sounds like a installation protection. Like before, so the .exe file might only be CD-Checks protected. But I am not shure. Hmm try to use Alcohol 120% instead of CloneCD.

OK, with the newest version of Alcohol I use the "general protection" selection and didn't touch any other setting.

The copy behaves exactly like original of CD1 - so maybe it worked.

I'm burning the other 2 discs and then I'll uninstall and reinstall the game to make sure the backup will work.
