Question please help me with new sony dvd +/- r/rw

plaese can someone help me, i have just bought a sony dvd writer, i am trying to read the disc with my samsung dvd rom drive, i have made the sony the master and samsung the slave but when trying to copy on the fly i get the message-:
'samsung332b is not compatable with clone cd read sub channel data from data tracks' when i un check the sub chan data box i get the mess 'not comp with clonecd read mode normal'also it is saying there is not enough space on the dest disc when the game is only about 3.7 gig i am using 4.7gig discs, please help i'm getting a little bit miffed now, thanx in advance

don't do it on the fly try do a image of the disk and burn that instead

You can't copy DVDs with Clone cd, Use Recordnow max
Also reading the "Sticky: Factoids: Backup Procedures " is highly recommended.

i do understand that i should make an image file but i have'nt got enough gig space on h/d so i'm just trying to do it on the fly until i can afford to uprate my h/d,also where can i d/l 'record max now'as it looks highly recommended by some peeps on this forum,

I also have a Sony DVD burner its the DRU-500A. Yours is most likely a version very close to that. Did you install the software that came with it. Mine came with Record Now DX. It worked great for backing up games. I upgraded to RNMax in the end though.
