dvd prob for ps2
ok guys got another dilemma aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrgggghhhhh!!!!!!
i got a laptop and want to get an external dvd writer, is this a bad move, i dont really have much choice though do i?? i could wait a while till i invest in a computor and then get an internal dvd writer but i dont see what difference it makes, can someone explain??? whats the best dvdr disk to use for backups on ps2?? cheers!!!

Have a read of yr other thread ( which DVD Burner - DOH!) for a possible solution.
As for which discs, DVD-R ( not dvd+r) every time, Traxdata, Ritek, DVD Master or verbatim (not inkjet printable) should be fine. All the above dvd-r have a dark purple "plum colour" write surface which the ps2 laser reads fine. You can buy other ( probably cheaper ) brands of dvd-r but they will have light purple write surfaces and could cause problems with ps2 reading them accurately. I use traxdata 4X or verbatim and get no problems at all. Regardsl
